About SSH

A tradition of service. A legacy of compassion. A generation of healers.

Shifaites Serving Humanity (SSH) is the flagship humanitarian society of Shifa College of Medicine, founded on the belief that the privilege of studying medicine carries with it the responsibility to serve.

The society

Who We Are

For more than a decade, SSH has transformed compassion into action. It is a platform where students from every academic year unite—not merely as future physicians, but as advocates for humanity. From first-year students to final-year students, Shifaites stand side by side with the same purpose: making healthcare more accessible, communities more resilient, and hope more attainable.

Medicine does not begin when a patient enters a hospital; it begins the moment we choose to care.

Our direction

Mission & Vision

01 / Mission

Compassion in action.

To inspire, empower, and equip medical students to become compassionate leaders who serve humanity through healthcare, education, advocacy, and sustainable community development.

SSH aspires to create physicians who recognize that healing extends beyond prescriptions and procedures—it flourishes through empathy, service, and unwavering commitment to society.

02 / Vision

Service as part of medicine.

A future where every Shifaite embraces service as an inseparable part of medicine.

SSH seeks to cultivate healthcare professionals who lead with integrity, serve with humility, and remain committed to communities long after graduation.

Our Philosophy

Healthcare begins long before diagnosis.

It begins with listening before speaking. With serving before leading. With giving before expecting. With recognizing that every individual—regardless of circumstance—is worthy of dignity, respect, and compassionate care.
